CASE STUDY — CORPORATE FILM, CGI

Selling a wire without ever selling a wire

Torrent Electricals makes wires and MCBs — one of the most spec-driven, unglamorous categories in manufacturing. Instead of a datasheet with nicer fonts, we built the product a world to live in, entirely in CGI.

FILM 01 // CATEGORY DEFYING

The Panel Wires Film

Reframing dry technical specifications into fully realized, photorealistic CGI environments.

FILM 02 // TECHNICAL SCALE

The E-Beam Film

Bringing physical structure and visual scale to the intricate internal systems of modern cabling.

01

Why a spec-sheet film was never going to work.

The easy version of this film already existed. We didn't make it.

Every wire and MCB brief comes with the same list: conductivity, current-carrying capacity, UV resistance, CE / RoHS / REACH compliance. The default response is a spec sheet in disguise — numbers on screen, a certification logo, and an electrician nodding approvingly at a switchboard.

That film gets watched once and forgotten immediately, because a spec, on its own, has no imagination. Nobody has ever felt something about a conductivity rating.

If every spec is really a promise, what does that promise look like as a place?
02

How we gave invisible facts a physical body.

A physical body for technical facts to live in.

A wire doesn't care about drama. The person buying it does. Most of the job is finding the spec a place to belong. We refused to let a good spec live a boring life.

01

CGI over real-world scouting

Desert, waterfall, home, villa — built rather than scouted, so we weren't waiting on weather or expensive flights.

02

One spec, one dedicated universe

Every technical property got its own bespoke environment instead of a single wide shot of a factory floor.

03

Category-defying tone

Wires and MCBs sit low on anyone's excitement scale. The film made "unglamorous" read as a creative dare.

03

Four specs. Four worlds.

The product never changes. What changes is the world around it — built to make an invisible property visible.

SPEC 01

UV Resistant

A wire lying in cracked desert earth, daring the sun to try harder. The heat and punishment are in frame, so resistance reads as survival, not a lab result.

SPEC 02

Eco-Friendly Build

The same cable resting beside a forest waterfall, as if it belongs to the landscape rather than sitting on top of it.

SPEC 03

Current-Carrying Capacity

Glowing current lines running through the ceiling of a home you'd actually want to live in, as if the house has a pulse.

SPEC 04

CE / RoHS / REACH

Three acronyms that have never excited anyone — reframed as a dusk-lit villa. Compliance, but make it cinematic.

04

Four worlds, built frame by frame in 3D

No location scout, no weather delays — every environment constructed in CGI, scene by scene, to match the spec it was standing in for.

The product doesn't change. The world around it does the selling.
