About the client

  • Considering the cutthroat competition among brands, the importance of packaging and marketing has grown exponentially in the last decade or so. Mahacol by Nikhil Adhesives wanted to stay at the top of its game and turned to us at Creative Garage. This was our task: revamp the look and feel and make it more appealing. Here’s how we took on this challenge.

The Challenge

  • Create a modern look while retaining the essence of the brand.
  • The various features of the range of products each required a personalised design and colour scheme.
  • Adapting the brand to the changing socio-demographics of the next decade and beyond.
  • Infographics and instructions need to have absolute clarity.
  • Layman content for universal understanding.
  • Close attention to brand guidelines.
  • Clear stacking design for better user understanding and implementation.

The Process

  • Studying the brand guidelines
  • Studying and executing the colour schemes with respect to printing
  • Studying the various requirements of design in differing bucket sizes (as per kg)
  • Studying and understanding target consumers ie. woodworkers, carpenters, construction workers, etc.

Brand Strategy

Packaging Design

  • The old Nikhil Adhesives Ltd. logo, although a classic, needed a revamp with modern elements to be at par with the changing times. Modern elements were added to the new logo, making it more attractive, clear and appealing.

Elements and Styling

  • To break away from the competition, we decided to have our name in a vertical manner! We knew that the Fevicol Giant had already made a mark on the market, so it was very important for us to stand out in our product packaging!

Process Followed

  • We noted the important content and designers crafted an amazing look for the brand. The combination of the best elements was very impressive, and the client had a tough time picking one among them.In the end, they made a collated decision and we drew the output.
 

Mascot Creation

  • The team also created a mascot that represents the brand in order to promote positive brand engagement and recognition with target audiences. The new packaging emphasises the German technology used, along with bright, tailored colours designed to match each product, along with motifs representing each product’s features and purpose.

Office Branding

  • Luckily, the new office space came with a massive office space. We didn’t want a mundane office look, so our visualiser visited the office and styled the reception with an amazing display.
    The punches on the wall were a great motivator for the team. The highlight of all is the milestone wall. You come to the office and you know the journey at a glance!
